Keeps Finger on Pulse of The Times With An Eye On The Future

Family-owned and operated since opening its doors in 1971, Hunt Electric Supply has prided itself on delivering the highest quality and best value to their customers. This philosophy has helped them grow into an industry leader, distributing a wide range of electrical supplies throughout North Carolina and beyond.

As president, Sam Hunt IV is the third generation to run the company, an electrical supplier for residential, commercial and industrial products in central North Carolina. His grandfather Rector Samuel Hunt Jr. started the company with Hunt’s father Sam Hunt III.

“We are celebrating 50 years in business during 2021 and I see the company headed in a good direction,” Hunt said. “After all these years in business, we know that our success continues to depend on our two main assets: quality employees and loyal customers.”

The company operates eight branches in central North Carolina, with locations in Asheboro, Burlington, Carrboro, Durham, Greensboro, Sanford, Raleigh and Winston Salem. A large fleet of trucks including flatbeds, vans, tractor trailers and box trucks deliver to customers and branches daily as well as provide 24-hour emergency service.

Over the past five decades, the company has built long-lasting relationships with many loyal customers. “Our mission has always been for our customers to want to buy from us, be glad they did and want to come back and buy again,” Hunt said.

“Hunt Electric Supply’s greatest asset continues to be its experienced, knowledgeable employees, which the company keeps focused on what matters most, the customer.” Hunt said. “They have been here for us and we strive to be here for them.”

Hunt Electric maintains partnerships with many IMARK vendors, including Siemens, ABB, Cooper Lighting, Pass & Seymour, Acuity and many others to provide an unbroken supply chain for contractors.

“As a member of IMARK Electrical, we are part of a large network of independent distributors, which increases our purchasing power, our expertise and ensures our ability to continue to successfully keep our finger on the pulse of the industry with an eye on the future.”
